Funday at Hyde Town Hall (Saturday, April 5)

Last Saturday we had another Fun Day at Hyde Town Hall. It was awesome!

Even before the official opening time of 11am we had dozens of kids and their parents ready to get started having fun (especially on the Bouncy Castle). We remained packed and buzzing basically until we once again had to kick people out at 2pm!

This month was a little different in that we had The Rock Puppets join us for the Fun Day.  They are a Christian puppet troupe that perform all over Manchester.  They did three half hour shows over the course of the day which were really well received with lots of dancing and laughter coming from the crowd.

Best of all we also had a chance to re-connect with a number of people who are starting to become ‘regulars’ at our Fun Days.  Overall, it was just a great day.

The next Fun Day is Saturday, June 6th, 11am till 2pm.  Don’t miss it!  Bring everyone you know!

March Fun Day at Hyde Town Hall

On the first Saturday of every month, Christ Church Manchester hosts a free fun-day in the centre of Hyde.

Located in the main hall of Hyde Town Hall, directly across the street from the Hyde Market, it’s an extremely easy and attractive option for families getting out for the day. 

This last Saturday was no different. There was a great buzz of activity from before we even opened at 11am till we had to kick people out at 2pm!  We saw over 100 people come in from the rain for some coffee and lots of fun.

Our usual line-up of Wii games, big bouncy castle, face painting, nail art, crafts and soft play areas, and the addition of an awesome dance mat and mini bouncy castle for the under 5’s, were all in constant use.

We got to catch up with a number of people from the last fun-day and, by word of mouth, we even got a family from Glossop coming along.

In fact, the face painting area got so busy at one point, one of the visiting mums jumped in to help with the high demand!  She did a great job (we might have to ask her to come back and help next month!)

The next fun-day will be on Saturday April 4th, from 11am till 2pm.  Please come along and check it out - with all the different activities, the whole family is sure to find something they’ll love.
